FAQ

What kind of trial experience does your firm have?
With the combined experience of all of the partners in our firm, we have tried hundreds of complex cases over the years - from medical malpractice and personal injury to complex civil cases. We are all seasoned attorneys with years of experience and a lengthy track record of court trials.

When and how do you decide to settle a case out of court?
When and how to settle a case is a decision that always ultimately belongs to the client. Our goal is to provide each client with the best information and most thorough recommendations about settling or going to trial. We want to help our clients arrive at the best possible outcome for each particular situation.

Am I able to choose which attorney in the firm I want to represent me?
When you work with CBSJ, you have the great advantage of all four partners being engaged in your case. You will have a primary contact, based on the nature of your case, but we work as a team, bringing our combined years of experience to the fore.

What are your fees?
Fees vary according to numerous factors - complexity of the case, the nature and length of the work involved, client decisions along the way, and the ultimate resolution of the case. Typically, we handle medical malpractice and injury cases based on a contingency fee (a percentage of the recovery) , and we handle most other cases on an hourly fee basis.
