Brad Searson

My practice is focused on the representation of individuals and families seriously injured or killed due to medical malpractice (physician, hospital and nursing home negligence), car and truck collisions, defective and harmful products, and other negligent, careless and wrongful conduct. I also handle cases arising from injuries and death sustained on the job or in the work place.

I have represented clients in countless trials, hearings before agencies and commissions, in arbitrations and in mediated settlement conferences. I routinely represent clients in state and federal court throughout Western North Carolina and across the state.

After graduating from the University of South Carolina and obtaining my law degree from Emory University, I first practiced law in the defense of medical malpractice, product liability, workers’ compensation and other negligence cases. During that part of my career, I often worked with health care professionals, employers, corporations, and insurance adjusters and claims representatives. This behind-the-scenes experience with defendants and insurance companies has been of great benefit in my work on behalf of individual clients.

I have been actively involved for over 15 years in community efforts to obtain hunger relief and food resources for those in need throughout Western North Carolina, now serving my third term on the board of directors of MANNA FoodBank. I have advised the food bank on many legal issues over the years and have represented MANNA at meetings of state and national food banking organizations. I have also handled pro bono cases for Pisgah Legal Services since 1992.
